Big Island police are searching for a 54-year-old Hilo woman reported as missing.

Darlene Santos was last seen around 6:45 a.m. Tuesday in the Kaumana area of Hilo, according to the Hawaii Police Department. She has a medical condition that requires medication.

Santos is described as being part Hawaiian, 5 feet tall, weighing about 175 pounds with brown eyes, brown/gray hair and a tan complexion. She was last seen wearing blue jeans, a brown oversized jacket over an unknown type of top, and wedge slippers, according to police.
